LOCAL GALLERY:      VINCENT AND  DAUGHTER OF CHARITY - STATUETTES

The image above is of a small sculpture presented to Fr Kevin Canty CM as he concluded eleven years as Director of the Daughters of Charity, Province of Australia . The sculpture depicts Vincent de Paul  with a child standing beside him, and a baby in his right arm, while he holds out the Word of God to a Daughter of Charity who is holding in her left hand the Daughters' Constitutions. and in her right hand a loaf of bread..  It also symbolises the role of the Director in relation to the Daughters of Charity.  This sculpture is mounted on a wooden stand, and a plate attached carries the words, “In thanksgiving for Fr. Kevin Canty Provincial Director 2001-2011."   The sculpture was crafted by Sr Carole Jones DC and was presented at a Mass of Thanksgiving at Marsfield (Sydney) on November 29, 2011  .
