HERITAGE:   PLACES

Vincent de Paul was born in 1581 at Ranquine, a hamlet near the village of Pouy (now known as St Vincent de Paul), a few kilometres from Dax in the south-west of France.   He died in Paris in 1660.   The thumbnails below are of places which were significant in his life and which can remind us of his greatness.  Some of these places are depicted as they are today.  Originally, the relevant material was posted on this site, but it now it can be found on the Vincentian Encyclopedia.     Click on the thumbnails for larger views and more information.
