Vincent de Paul
Aboriginal Painting

This painting of  Vincent de Paul Evangelizing hangs at the Congregation of the Mission's General Curia House in Rome, Italy.  It was painted by an Aboriginal Woman in Moree NSW, Australia, for the Daughters of Charity who presented it to the Vincentians.  It shows Vincent de Paul evangelizing women and men, with the Holy Spirit in evidence in the top left of the painting. The holiness of Vincent and his ministry  is emphasised not only by a halo about his head, but also by a halo around each of his hands.
