Vincentian Cross
Aluminium Alloy Casting

The 'Vincentian Cross'  was originally designed for the Daughters of Charity in the 1980s.   However, it has since been adopted by many Vincentian Priests and Brothers, with the entwined  'V' and 'S' being variously interpreted as standing for St Vincent or Vincentian Service.

Three  castings of the Vincentian Cross were made by Mrs L Mimovich of Melbourne, Australia, for Fr Gerard Wilkinson CM.  Bill Irwin  assisted in the design.  The one shown above can be found at  De Paul House at Marsfield.  Sydney.  Another hangs  in the entrance  hallway of  the Presbytery at St Joseph's Parish, Malvern Vic.  The third is in St Anthony's Church, Marsfield NSW.

The three  castings were commissioned  in the mid 1980s.
