OPENING OF "VINCENTIAN BUILDING"
WYNN VALE SCHOOL, ADELAIDE

On September 11, Fr Laurie McNamara  CM  represented the Vincentian Community at the opening and blessing of the Vincentian wing of St Francis Xavier Primary School, Wynn Vale, South Australia.  The school, located in a delightful bushland setting, was began in 1983 as a regional school serving the needs of the Tea Tree Gully, Modbury and Para Hills Parishes at the time when Fr Mick Walsh CM  was Parish Priest of Modbury, Over the years the school has grown considerably and now has an enrolment of 680 children. The blessing and opening of  the three wings, named respectively “Vincentian”, “Oblate”, and “Faulkner”, was performed by Most Rev Len Faulkner, Emeritus Archbishop of Adelaide.  Some photos are below.
